The Project
This project for SINSW involved the construction of a new entry point to the school, new school Building P to accommodate staff areas Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) facilities for food technology and a wood and metal workshop. Renovation works were also undertaken to multiple existing buildings A, B D and E across the site to improve the provision of quality classrooms and facilities for science, visual arts, performance and fitness, as well as facilities for specialist support classes.
The project involved multiple planning pathways for different buildings including a Complying Development Certificate and Crown Works Certification.
The Challenges
The school buildings are situated on a lot that is mapped as bushfire affected which involved careful considerations from a planning, bushfire consultant and legal perspective prior to issue of the relevant approvals.
