The Project

The development relates to the construction of a self-storage facility, known as Storage King (Girraween), at 132-136 Toongabbie Road, Girraween NSW. The site is located approximately 31 km west northwest of the Sydney central business district in the Cumberland local government area. The development will include a five storey self-storage facility (total floor area of ~ 11,700 m2) with associated office/administration area, dedicated loading/unloading dock, and self-storage enclosures throughout the remainder of the building. More specifically, the associated use within each part of the building can be described as:  

  • Ground Floor - Office & administration areas, loading/unloading dock, self-storage units  
  • Level 1 - to Level 4 - Self-storage units

  • Rationalisation of FRLS of structural elements in the storage areas 
  • Omission of FRLs at columns supporting the roof
